It’s a matter of preference whether you consider Voivod a prog metal band, or not. But if you are into prog metal you should check this out. One of their most accomplished efforts ever, a spinning mass of angular Crimson+Floyd+Motorhead awesomeness that transcends all their influences – like all good bands.

I really like VoiVod´s War And Pain – Angel Rat -albums, but in Outer Limits they turned a little bit boring, I lost my interest and haven´t listened any their albums after that. Not been very into metal last years, but maybe I try this someday…

I like Outer Limits actually. Their really early stuff is a bit too heavy for me. Once you get to Nothingface they really hit a stride. Negatron is a step backwards but Phobos is wonderful.

They are a totally unique band that’s why I like them
