Mainstream music listeners consider classic progressive rock ‘diving deep’.

But if you’re a Prog aficionado, you long for more than that.  Much lies beneath the surface, if you just dive in a bit deeper.

But isn’t that what you count on The Progressive Tracks Show for… to do the deep diving for you?  Why, right you are!

And remember, you can access podcasts of any previous Progressive Tracks Show at: http://www.progzilla.com/?s=progressive+tracks (there are over 160 now!).

THE PROGRESSIVE TRACKS SHOW #320
(The Old Day IS The New Day)

Many of the issues we face today are not new… we just didn’t learn the lessons of the past.

Fortunately, music isn’t like that. New creations often use the past as building blocks… and the results are impressive (unless of course we didn’t learn anything, and disco makes a comeback). 😉

This week we’ll explore both new and old music, including a 50-year old classic album.

It felt really good last week to play some of the new tunes that were piling up. But, like Sisyphus, I find myself having to do it all over again this week. Not that I’m complaining (”Gee, I just have too much great new music to play… what’s a DJ to do?”). Ha!

So this week is rinse and repeat… and you get to experience some great new music from artists you may not have heard. Talk about a ‘Win-Win’!

THE PROGRESSIVE TRACKS SHOW #316   (SeaProg 2019 Festival Wrap-Up Show)

By the time this podcast is posted, SeaProg 2019 will be another page in the history books… and I’ll be exhausted.  So this week I’m letting ALL the SeaProg 2019 artists do the show by themselves.

There is (almost) all different music on this show, so tune in or grab it, to hear new tunes!

I want to thank Dennis, Jon, John, Joe, Dave, and Tom (The Seattle Festival of Avant and Progressive Rock’s Central Committee) for supporting me in hosting seven… count ’em… seven SeaProg preview shows.  You guys are great!

I would also like to thank Nate, Jonathan, Julie, Trey, Markus, Brenden/Jennifer, Tim, Michael, Stefan/Per, Alex, Dani, Riley/Justin, and Bill for their time and effort in doing interviews, creating station ID’s, and generally putting up with me and my production deadlines.  I hope these fine artists think this was as worthwhile, as I do!

Lastly, I hope you listeners have enjoyed these shows; they continue to be the most downloaded/streamed ones I create.  And that makes feel very positive about the future of SeaProg!  Thanks for listening!
