Background
How is the Progzilla Podcast put together?
What equipment & software is used?
- I use Logic Studio Pro to compile the podcast, running on my MacBook Pro.
- I use a shiny new Rode ProCaster microphone to record the voiceovers and a Tascam FW1884 control surface to mix it.
- Once mixed down, I use PodcastMaker to integrate the chapters, artwork and links.
How does the magic happen?
- At the beginning of the month, I start researching relevant news and auditioning loads of music, before picking the playlist for that month’s podcast.
- By the end of the second week, I will have compiled the script and recorded a draft version, to see how it sounds.
- At the end of the third week, I record the final version of the script and then mix and master it, before it gets released at the end of the month.
