With a total of six nominations – one more than superstar Björk – Icelandic alternative rockers Agent Fresco went to the price ceremony of the Icelandic Music Awards. It turned out to be a great evening for the band from Reykjavik with winning the “Album Of The Year” award for their current album “Destrier” as well as the “Singer Of The Year” award for frontman Arnór Dan Arnarson.
“We’re incredibly honoured to be a part of the vibrant and inspiring Icelandic music scene and we thank you all for the mad support throughout the years!” declares the band in an official statement.
Previously graphic designer Dóri Andrésson won the “Best Artwork” award from the Association of Icelandic Graphic Designers for his work on “Destrier”. Furthermore the official music video for the single “See Hell” – which was produced by Freyr Árnason and Gísli Þór Brynjólfsson – won the award for “Music Video of the Year” at the Icelandic Listeners Awards.
